Patrick Costello, a principal at Evolve MGA in San Francisco, Calif., recently spoke with Insurance Journal's Elizabeth Blosfield about how he got his start in the insurance industry, the benefits and challenges he has experienced throughout his career and in what ways he hopes to see the industry evolve in the future.
"One of the biggest challenges I've seen in the insurance industry is the ability to attract and hire quality young talent," he told Insurance Journal, adding that adopting new technology, transforming company culture and educating the younger generation about the industry are all ways he believes this challenge can be addressed.
Costello was a panelist at a July roundtable held at ReSource Pro's offices in Manhattan, in which a group of six millennial-generation insurance industry employees sat down to discuss their perspectives on insurance and how they hope to impact the industry through their careers.
