Tokio Millenium Re's CEO Stephan Ruoff gives an overall view of the diverse company. Founded as a division of Tokio Marine, it's part of the Japanese insurer's diversification strategy, as it seeks to grow outside of the country's mature market. The group has expanded with the acquisition of Lloyd's insurer J.R. Kiln, Philadelphia Insurance, and, most recently HCC. Ruoff, who is based in Zurich, oversees international reinsurance business, which originates from sources other than Tokio Marine.
