Robert Restrepo is chairman, president and CEO of State Auto Insurance Companies, and this year he completed his tenure as board chair of the Property Casualty Association of America, one of the p/c industry's most important trade groups. That gave him a birds-eye view of market sentiment at the PCI Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, A.Z. in late October. While the mood was generally positive, Restrepo said attendees expressed concerns about things such as the infusion of capital coming into the reinsurance industry, which has greatly boosted capacity and reduced prices. In an interview with Carrier Management Editor Mark Hollmer, Restrepo added perspective to the issue.
