Howard Mills, Chief Advisor for the Insurance Industry Group at Deloitte, attended the most recent meeting of International Association of Insurance Supervisors last year, and gave a report on some the significant activities to Carrier Management's Susanne Sclafane during a recent interview. According to Mills, the meeting agenda included discussion of an ambitious timetable to develop a global insurance capital standard for large insurance groups that transact business internationally--a subject that is making U.S. regulators uncomfortable.
