Ilya Bodner, founder and CEO of Bold Penguin wants to make the small commercial insurance buying experience easier - and more efficient. Bold Penguin analyzes thousands of unique data points to help identify the types of accounts with the highest likelihood of closing, decreasing the time-to-bind for new commercial prospects. In recent months, the company has partnered with several Top 100 agencies through its Bold Penguin Marketplace to place new and renewing commercial business with the right insurance company and agent combination. Bodner says by focusing on large agencies - or "whale hunting" as he calls it - Bold Penguin is moving ahead. Here's an excerpt from an interview with Insurance Journal's Andrea Wells at the recent Insuretech Connect conference in Las Vegas.
