Jacque Schaendorf, president and CEO of Marietta, Ga., based Insurance House, a managing general agency and wholesale brokerage is optimistic about the future of technology and personal lines. Insurance House sold its commercial managing general agency operations in January to Hull & Co., a wholesale insurance subsidiary of Brown & Brown, to focus more time, effort, and resources in the specialty personal lines market. "Our roots are driven by personal lines," she told Insurance Journal at a recent Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) annual conference. Insurance House also started an affiliated technology company designed to help support its own personal lines business, as well as outside third parties. In this video, Schaendorf says tech disruption is here and wholesalers should be ready.
