Leslie Saunders, CEO and founder of Leslie Saunders Insurance Agency, recently spoke with Insurance Journal's Elizabeth Blosfield about her agency's growth strategy from its beginning. Her agency currently serves as the only certified woman-owned insurance benefits and training company in the U.S.
She discussed challenges and opportunities that she sees in the insurance space, and her future plans for the agency. Saunders is also the recent recipient of the Legacy of Leaders Award for Women of Distinction from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council's 20th anniversary convention, and she explained how she sees the role of women and minorities in insurance continuing to evolve, as well as the work she has done to encourage those new to the insurance industry to excel.
