Deloitte’s Sam Friedman Predicts a Year of Disruption for P/C Insurance

By all accounts, last year was the best year for the property/casualty insurance industry had since the financial crisis. Still, Deloitte, in its outlook report for the year ahead predicts that 2014 will be a year of disruption for the industry, suggesting that P/C insurers need to take control of their destinies to make transformational changes. Here, Sam Friedman, research team leader at Deloitte's Center for Financial Services, explains why and discusses some of the forecasts of disruption from the report he authored.
