On this episode of The Insuring Cyber Podcast, host Elizabeth Blosfield speaks with David Emm, principal security researcher at Kaspersky Lab, about cybersecurity concerns resulting from digital devices, such as those used to monitor household pets. This conversation follows a report from Kaspersky, together with the research agency Opeepl, in which a 2018 survey of 7,740 household pet owners from 15 countries gathered data on how modern technologies affect pet and household safety. Elizabeth also speaks on this episode with Carolyn Boris, Chubb’s vice president of personal risk services, about Chubb’s fifth annual study on personal cyber risk, which found half of those surveyed said they’re still including the name of a pet or another identifiable name or date in their password. Carolyn gives her best advice for password safety in light of this trend. Check out what they had to say!
