A.M. Best’s Matthew Mosher On The “Haves and “Have-Nots”

When asked if he had any particular concerns about the property/casualty insurance industry heading into 2015, Matthew Mosher mentioned one: "the haves and the have-nots" in the commercial lines space. There are healthy larger carriers doing very well with strong reserve bases, he said. But their success contrasts with smaller, regional carriers still trying to figure out where they fit in in the evolving market place. Mosher, Senior Vice President of Rating Services for A.M. Best Company, spoke to Carrier Management Editor Mark Hollmer at the recent Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum in New York about what it all means.
