Insurers waiting for the rising tide of a harder market or a growing economy to lift their top lines and profit margins are missing opportunities to shape their own destinies by focusing on some big picture trends, according to Sam Friedman, Insurance Research Leader at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services. Here, during an interview with Carrier Management at the Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum, Friedman discusses one of four trends outlined in Deloitte's recently published 2015 outlook report for P/C insurers, urging insurers to work towards achieving data fluency.
