In January, Deloitte released an Outlook Report for the property/casualty insurance industry, highlighting the industry's use of data, telematics and predictive analytics among the transformational changes for the year ahead. But how will regulators react to the use of personal data?
Deloitte's regulatory expert, Howard Mills, shared his thoughts with Carrier Management's Susanne Sclafane during an interview at the Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum, two weeks after the Federal Insurance Office released its report on insurance regulation recommending that states develop standards for the appropriate use of personal data in the pricing of personal lines insurance.
