The United States is undergoing a massive transition -- and that's healthcare reform, says Genevieve Alexander, assistant vice president of NAS Insurance. There's a lot of pressure and there's a lot of change happening at both the state and federal level. And those changes are altering how underwriters view the medical liability market. As an underwriter, "you have to understand how their world is changing, beyond traditional medical malpractice," she says.
