New Jersey is poised to enter the world of captive insurance, thanks to a recent law change by state lawmakers that would allow captives to domicile in the Garden State. In this podcast, Gregg Sgambati, founder of the New Jersey Captive Insurance Association, tells Insurance Journal's Ken St. Onge that once the legislation is signed by Governor Chris Christie, the state can begin building a captive industry that should lay the groundwork for new jobs and added tax revenue -- a major incentive for lawmakers.
