Lessons Learned at Marsh & McLennan Agency

It took barely a year for Marsh & McLennan Agency to blossom from an idea into one of the nation's largest insurance agencies. Marsh's retail unit, which targets middle market customers, is something of an experiment within Marsh. It incorporates a separate board of directors and is run as it's own independent business within the mega-broker. Over the next year, the agency plans to continue growing it's already sizeable new business, says its CEO and chairman, Dave Eslick.
