Erie Insurance has been testing out the potential use of wearable technology with its Google Glass for adjusters project. This pilot study was one of a number of employee-generated ideas that Erie selected for its innovation contest.

The idea was to see how wearable devices like the Google Glass might help reduce the number of devices that the adjusters use and even capture their observations in real time.

Jeremy Sloan is a software engineer at Erie Insurance who was involved in the pilot project. And he recently spoke with Insurance Journal's Young Ha to discuss what he learned from the project and what might be in store for the future.
