This is the third in a five‑part series of an interview with insurance executive Hank Haldeman, who is the son of H.R. "Bob" Haldeman, who was chief of staff to President Nixon and a central figure in the Nixon administration and in the Watergate scandal. In this segment of the wide-ranging interview with Andy Simpson of Wells Media Group, Hank Haldeman talks about the relationship between his father and President Nixon. It was, by all accounts, a professional relationship more than a social relationship. He also talks about the role that his father played as chief of staff and how important the reorganization of the Executive Branch was. As a long‑haired teenager at the time, Haldeman got involved in the youth vote for President Nixon. In the end of this segment, Hank Haldeman puts much of the blame on John Dean for the downfall of the Nixon administration.
