You've likely heard the term "content marketing." It is one of those phrases that sounds good...but do you really know what it means? According to former agent Ryan Hanley, owner of Hanley Media Labs, it is an "insider" term. That is, while a commonly used term in the digital marketing industry it often is misused or misunderstood. In this podcast, Ryan takes the mystery out of content marketing. He says it's a term describing a culture in an organization--"a culture of communication and education." He sees it as a set of tools and methodologies to communicate with and educate customers and potential customers. Ryan has been a rising star in the independent agency system and since making this recording he has accepted a position with the online quoting system called Consumer Agent Portal (CAP), part of IIABA's Trusted Choice program.
