Robert Passmore, senior director of personal lines policy for the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, was one of the first insurance industry professionals to raise concerns over a gap in insurance coverage when drivers are conducting ridesharing services with app-based transportation network providers like Uber, Lyft and Sidecar. While the TNCs recently indicated they are working to cover that gap, Passmore still has a few concerns.
