Jeff Yates recently retired after 13 years as Executive Director of Agents Council for Technology--capping a four-decade career at IIABA. It seemed only appropriate that we catch up with him for his unique perspective on the past achievements of ACT and more importantly the opportunities he sees for the future. "Independent agents are better positioned then ever for success," says Jeff.
Jeff comments on the qualities he sees in the agents that are leading not only their own firms but the industry as well. Smart agencies and carriers are adapting more quickly to a changing consumer. He feels ACT will continue to provide carriers with a unique focus on agent priorities.
Jeff's parting advice: "Ramp up the urgency to work smarter and implement strategies that leverage new technologies."
