Interesting interview with guys who get it. Agency owners who have the guts to step out into some of these new tech opportunities are always going to be one step ahead of their competition. Our world is changing people. Get on board….no on second thought…keep running ads in the yellow pages please.

It’s refreshing to see agencies putting their commercial clients front and center instead of their own businesses. Video is quick and multi-sensory as well, so it appeals to short attention spans. Good for Purves, their clients are lucky to have an agency that cares enough to do it.

Great interview Scott! Very smart strategy, one that agencies would be smart to emulate.

We’re trying to do the same thing at Patrons Insurance Agency in Largo, FL. However, I’m the Social Media team and I do everything from home part-time. I wish I had some help with video editing, though. I just mess around with iMovie and add the client’s name, address and website at the bottom. At the end I put “A Patrons Insurance Video”. I’m not sure how to add our logo or edit out background noise (is that possible?). Plus I just use my own Kodak zi8 (pocket video camera). What kind of camera does Purves use?
