Product Recall 101

Whether it’s for food or manufactured goods, hardly a week passes without news that somewhere, a recall on a product has been issued. Understandably, Product Recall insurance is a fast-growing market for liability coverage for many insurers. Jane McCarthy, vice president of Liberty International Underwriters, talks about the basics of product recall, and why many buyers need it.

    Wow! You guys are brutal. Liberty has an excellent state-of-the-art products recall product offering and their underwriters are very knowledgeable and service oriented. The video was a few minutes long. Were you expected doctoral dissertation material? Sheesh!

    All I’ve ever gotten from LIU is consistency (there’s an original idea!) in underwriting & price – and straight answers. Nothing at all like AIG or AIU, or Chartis, or whatever they’re calling themselves today.
