This is very informative. It sounds like Farmers is really focusing on their customers and delivering a great product. I saw some news clips of them helping their customers and even others after wild fires at their claims van. Very impressive. They get it.

    No.
This blubber-bucket is a duplicitous jerk
As a carrier which portends to have a value to the market, Farmers must shi_, or get off the pot
Decide what you want to be: a carrier through Exclusive Agents who genuinely serve the carrier and the Farmer seeking public, or a carrier which foolishly puts their sign in the hands of independents who then whore-sell the Farmers customers into another market, SOLELY because of a higher comp
You tell me: who gets served/who gets screwed ?

As an independent agent who has spent some time with direct writers as an exclusive agent, the title of this clip immediately caught my attention. However, the content of the clip doesn’t reveal much about what changes agents can expect…particularly Farmers agents. It seems direct writers, who employ exclusive agents, always (at least eventually) push their agents/producers in directions they would rather not go. In this case, if I were a Farmers Rep., I would be very nervous about my products being available through independent agents (like Allstate has done). But again, this clip doesn’t really speak to that. As for me, I’m once again reminded how glad I am that my agency is truly independent.
