D&O: The Role of Agents/Brokers

Susanne Murray, Esq. is an executive vice president with insuance broker Hilb Rogal Hobbs and an expert in directors and officers liability coverage. Here she discusses the role of the insurance broker working with D&O clients after the sale, including when and how a broker should be involved if a client has, or thinks it has, a potential claim situation and in advising on procedures, renewal options and excess layers. She spoke with Insurance Journal’s Andy Simpson at the 2008 Professional Liability Underwriting Soicety’s 2008 D&O Symposium in New York.
