Are we still going to be punished for 6 years for each incident? I was in an accident in 2002, paid $100’s of dollars for that accident, my insurance went from $800 in 2002 and I’m now paying $1,900. If my premium increased by $100’s of dollars per year, shouldn’t my premium be decreased by the punishment rate that I paid or will I be forever punished and will my premiums not decrease after being punished for 6 years. This is a scam as far as I’m concerned and will never get relief of paying this high cost of insurance. These insurance companies in this state are making billions of dollars. Do we have a sign on our back in Massachusetts….SUCKER? Commissioner! Do something to get us out of this mess. If we were charged 100’s of dollars for an accident, then it should be deducted after the 6 year punishment period. If not, we are forever punished for one or more accidents and never see an end to the punishment premium in this state. Did the state of Mass come up with an accident statistic about how many years within one incident is the liklihood of getting into another accident or motorvehicle offense…yup 6 years probably. So we, as Mass consumers can never win and are forever being punished. Did you ever look at the amount of cars on the highway? It’s almost impossible to avoid an accident. It’s unnerving driving almost 2 hours daily from the New Hampshire area. Public transportation is not flexible to meet our needs and why isn’t there a commuter rail from New Hampshire to Boston , since there are 100’s of cars that travel that highway to Boston. Mass residents have to pay a toll when we travel to New Hampshire. Why don’t New Hampshire drivers have to pay a toll to Massachusetts? Again, we are SUCKERS!
