Climate Change and the Insurance Industry
Recent mega-catastrophes have brought increased attention to the issue of climate change and its impact on the insurance industry. Even so, most insurers have just begun exploring the issue, according Dr. Evan Mills of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In this interview with Insurance Journal’s Andrea Ortega-Wells, Mills, one of the nation’s foremost experts on energy efficiency and its relationship with climate change and risk management, discusses what the insurance industry is doing and what more can be done.
