Ted Nickel, president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and Wisconsin's insurance commissioner, told Carrier Management Editor Mark Hollmer that state regulators and insurance industry representatives agree they must work together to maximize the success of international insurance standard setting. At the same time, Nickel said that the NAIC continues to support closure of the Federal Insurance Office, which pursued some of this agenda.
