The Insurance Information Institute recently published a white paper about global insurance capital standards, which explains (among other things) the differences between the U.S. and European approaches to solvency regulation. In an interview with Carrier Management at the Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum, Steven Weisbart, Senior Vice President and I.I.I. Chief Economist and one of the co-authors of the paper, provided an overview.
