There are some words that may not have ever been uttered in the Lloyd's building before Inga Beale took on the role of CEO, she told attendees at the IICF Women in Insurance Global Conference. But believing that creating a diverse and inclusive culture extends beyond physical differences, Beale started initiating conversations about people being lesbian and gay and about making Lloyd's a more comfortable place for the LGBT community. After a presentation at the conference in which she reported that the new openness paved the way for a recent Pride at Lloyd's event, she shared her thoughts with Carrier Management.
