National catastrophe activity, continued low interest rates, new technology, and the fast-evolving issue of cyber attacks are among the issues property/casualty insurers must deal with in 2015, according to Robert Hartwig, president of the Insurance Information Institute in New York. During a break at the I.I.I.'s Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum on Jan. 13, Hartwig explained to Carrier Management Editor Mark Hollmer why those and other issues matter to the industry in the coming months.
